If you’re looking for a park that has it all – a unique playground, splash pad fun, a concession stand, and wide-open space for kids to burn energy – let me introduce you to Veterans Park Spray and Play in Delaware, Ohio.
This spot is one of our family’s go-to summer hangouts, and once you visit, you’ll totally see why!
A Dinosaur Lover’s Dream
The playground is fully dinosaur-themed and packed with fun and imagination. There are dino footprints stamped into the ground, a giant fossil climbing structure, and even a T-Rex slide that my kids couldn’t get enough of. It’s one of those places where play turns into an adventure.
Splash Pad = Instant Win
Not far from the playground is the spray and play area, which is perfect on hot summer days. It has fountains, misters, and plenty of space for little ones to run wild and cool off. One thing to note – it’s not fully fenced so keep that in mind if you’ve got a speedy toddler on your hands!
Plenty of Space to Picnic & Play
There’s a big open green space, shaded picnic tables, and a clean restroom on-site. We usually pack a lunch and stay for hours. It’s also close to the Delaware Community Center YMCA and other walking paths if you’re up for a longer outing.
